April 9, 2006. Sunday. Floral fragrance flown away with a wind like a dream just before dawn. Cherry blossom. April, 9. 2006 Most of the Japanese loves cherry blossom because of the ephemerality. Such a preference is closely connected with a 'sense of mortality' which is common sense for us influenced by Buddhism. The sense is similar to the phrase "Memento Mori" in French. So, when we go to "Hanami" - cherry blossom viewing, we are actively enjoing our life fragile like a cherry blossom. We did Hanami today. We did BBQ and drank beer from handy beer server under cherry branches. I opened the roof of my convertible car (MGF 1.8i, 1996) and drove around the paddy fields with two girls. And then, we played kick baseball. I had a fun time outwardly. I'm a self-deceiving man. I can deceive myself by finding little happiness from anything around me, though I always regret what I did and what I didn't. I must create a certain aim and eliminate wasting time.
